The Southern Settlements Structure Plan was adopted by Council on 28 May 2013. The Southern Settlements Structure Plan is a plan for the southern settlements of the Taupo District. It assesses potential for residential growth and development in and around Turangi, Omori, Kuratau, Whareroa, and Motuoapa, as identified in Council's TD2050 Growth Management Strategy.
The structure plan outlines council's strategic direction for new growth in the southern settlements and will be used to inform future private plan changes to the Taupo District Plan. Download a copy of the Southern Settlements Structure Plan here.
Hearing Committee Recommendations
The Hearing Committee completed hearing submissions and deliberations on 2 May 2013. A copy of the Hearing Committee's report and recommendations can be viewed here.
