To allow easy flow of traffic and safe travel to and from the event, there will be some roads closed and restricted access.

Tongariro Street right turning lane closed at the Tongariro Street / Spa Road roundabout
Roberts Street, from Tongariro Street to Ruapehu Street
Ruapehu Street, from Roberts Street to Lake Terrace
Lake Terrace, from Ruapehu Street to Titiraupenga Street

Traffic Management Friday 19th to Sunday 21 April 2024 (6am – 8pm)

Broadlands Road closed, from Centennial Road to View Road – detour in place (Please note: residents will have access to enter and leave their properties)
Broadlands Road / Eastern Taupō Arterial off and on ramps closed
Reduced speeds and Stop / Go management at Spa Road / AC Baths Ave intersection
Reduced speeds and Stop / Go management at Tauhara Road / Taharepa Road / AC Baths Ave Intersection
Reduced speeds and Stop / Go management at Centennial Drive / Rakanui Road intersection
Reduced speeds along Broadland Road and the Eastern Taupō Arterial (ETA)

Traffic Management Friday 19 – Sunday 21 April 2024 (2pm – 7pm)

Reduced speeds and Stop / Go management at Spa Road / Tauhara Road intersection, 2pm – 7pm

Taupō Gliding Club Parking

Event parking will be available at the Taupō Gliding Club. Access will be via Rakanui Road and Off Road Highway. Expect reduced speeds and delays. Follow instructions from roading marshals. Note there is no access from Centennial Drive.

Kaimanawa Reserve Park and Ride

A park and ride service for ticket holders will be available at Kaimanawa Reserve from 7.45am on Friday 19th, 6.45am on Saturday 20th, and 7am on Sunday 21st. Buses will continue to run throughout the day as needed.

Please follow directions from Marshals and have your tickets and bags ready to be checked. Attendees will be dropped directly outside the Taupō International Motorsport Park, and will return from the same pick up/drop off location. Check out the Supercars Getting Around section for more information.
