Community events and tours
Join us at a community event near you, with evening engagement events, day-time drop-in sessions and representative group mix and mingle events throughout the district in June and July.
At these events you can chat to our team and local Councillors, learn more about the draft Long-term Plan and what it may mean for you and your community.
Come along and share your thoughts, ask questions and get the information you need to help you prepare your feedback on the draft Long-term Plan. We’ll see you there!

Taupō Wastewater Treatment Plant tours
If you’ve ever wondered what happens to your dirty water after taking a shower, doing a load of washing or flushing the loo, this tour is for you! Join us for a peek behind the scenes on a tour of the Taupō Wastewater Treatment Plant where you can learn more about how we deal with wastewater in an environmentally friendly way and look at future plans for wastewater in Taupō and Turangi.
The tour is free but numbers are limited.

Housing Land Tour
Taupō District Council owns a parcel of residentially-zoned land, known as the East Urban Lands (EUL), located between the East Taupō Arterial highway, Kokomea Village and Richmond Heights. Join us for a tour of the area where you can learn more about how we're planning to use this land to help ease the housing shortage in Taupō.
The tour is free but numbers are limited.
