Make a submission
Submissions now closed
Submissions on the draft Long-term Plan closed at 4.30pm Monday 8 July 2024. Thank you for all of the feedback received.
Hearings and deliberations are scheduled for Monday 29 July to Friday 2 August 2024.
Every submission will be carefully considered as the Mayor and councillors work to find the right balance for our district for the next 10 years. Thank you for having your say.
What is a submission?
A submission is feedback. It is your chance to present your opinions, observations, and recommendations on a matter before Council, to help councillors make an informed decision.
Any individual or group/organisation can make a submission. Your submission can support, oppose, or express a point of view on a matter.
If you are submitting on behalf of an organisation or group (e.g. a sports club), make sure you have permission to do so and that you are presenting the views of the group correctly. Only one submission per organisation/group can be accepted.
Please note that all submissions will be made publicly available on our website, including your details.
Please tell us if you would like to attend the hearing to speak to Council in support of your submission and include a telephone number and email address to ensure we can contact you to arrange a time for your presentation. Generally, we allocate five minutes speaking time for each submitter.
